Professor Connolly is primarily interested in issues at the intersection of philosophy, theology, and the natural sciences in early modern Europe with a special focus on the thought of John Locke and Isaac Newton.  He has published papers in a number of journals including the Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, Philosophical Studies, and the British Journal for the History of Philosophy.  He earned his MA and PhD from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his BA from Georgetown University.
Professor Connolly regularly teaches courses in the history of philosophy, ethics, applied ethics, and other areas.
